This is a video critique and retrospective of American McGee's platformer adaptations of Alice in Wonderland. It looks at how they deliberately diverged from the Quake aesthetic while still using the Quake engine, and how Alice's perspective shapes the game world. It goes indepth trying to examine how this off pairing of artist and subject brought out some of the best of both of them and how the sequel fared in living up to it.
