Maotai is a kind of baijiu liquor made of sorghum, which is the finest baijiu in China. The liquor is renowned for not using artificial spices and its unique flavor scent obtained through a long fermentation process. Maotai is one of the 3 best liquors in the world along with Irish whiskey and French cognac. The name of the liquor, Maotai, came from the name of the village that produces it, and the official name for the liquor is Guizhou Maotai.
