Marcus Filly Tree Trunk Legs: Training Breakdown

A strong leg day always starts with a great warmup especially in chilly seasons. So I’m starting with the usual sled work for ankles, knees, and hips. And layering on leg extensions and calf raises to prime my muscles for squatting. But don’t forget the importance of upper body mobility to improve your squat position too.

Do you ever feel like squats always hit the same areas of your legs? Today we worked legs front, back, and EVERYTHING in between. Nordics, Cyclist Squats, and Leg Extensions are just a few ways to get a thorough lower body session without leaving gains on the table.
