The Martians regroup and head towards London, destroying artillery and utilising the "Black Smoke" to poison anyone in their way. Chapter 6 of my animated serialisation of "The War of the Worlds" sees the narrator escape from burning WEYBRIDGE and head down river to WALTON where he teams up with a curate, but then encounters 7 Tripods laying waste to the land. The narrator and his new companion take refuge in HALLIFORD while the tripods head towards RICHMOND ON THAMES and beyond. Coming next in 2024: The Thunderchild!
