In this video I show how Queen Mary I of England looked in real life using my technology and Photoshop skills. I also dive into her life to give a short synopsis about her. Here on MortaFaces, I bring historic portraits to life so it is easy to visualize famous historical people.

Mary I of England was also known as Bloody Mary due to her reputation of burning Protestants at the stake. She was born Mary Tudor, the first legitimate child of King Henry VIII in 1516. Her mother was Catherine of Aragon. Mary had a chaotic life as she was first a princess and her future was looking good as possible heir to the throne. Then Anne Boleyn came and destroyed everything. Through Henry's divorce with Catherine, Mary also lost her title and status. She was even considered illegitimate! Mary would eventually take a sisterly bond with her half sister Elizabeth, the future Queen Elizabeth I (Boleyn's daughter). Mary would eventually rise back up and claim her throne from Lady Jane Grey once her brother King Edward VI died. She would rule religiously, trying to bring England back to Catholicism.
