Riders, welcome back to Sam's Bikes where we only talk ebikes. Over the next six weeks, Sam's Bikes will conduct the biggest electric mountain bike motor test on YouTube.

We will be conducting a comprehensive test on seven of the best ebike motors that will be available in 2024. These motors include The Specialized Turbo System, which uses the Brose SMAG motor that produces 90nm of torque, the Bosch CX Race Motor with 85nm of torque, Shimano EP801 that also produces 85nm of torque, the Giant Syncdrive Pro System which uses the Yamaha PWX3 producing 85nm of torque, the Bafang M510 that produces 95nm of torque, and finally the Rocky Mountain Dyname 4.0 that has a torque of 108nm.

Over the next six weeks, we will be conducting a series of tests to determine the best ebike motor and system for 2024. These tests will include drag racing and hill climbing to determine the fastest motor, testing to see which motor has the least drag when over the limiter or turned off, and measuring the noise levels of each motor while climbing up and going down the mountain. We will also be evaluating the integration and application of each system, testing their autonomy or range, and assessing their reliability and local support in case of motor breakdown.
