This presentation is centered around diagnosis, management, and ultimately treatment options for this highly morbid patient population. Additionally, there was a focus on the maneuvers for blood loss in patients unable to receive blood products (alloimmunization, hyperhemolysis, Jehovah’s Witness), and how hematologists can augment treatment and management through expertise in thrombophilias and anticoagulant reversal.
