For the 2017 San Diego Comic Con (SDCC), the Mattel Disney Cars exclusive was The Making of Cars 3 Lightning McQueen Diecast 3pack. This set displays the process of producing a Lightning McQueen diecast. Three diecasts are included to illustrate the process (raw, painted, completed metallic). This set was available at SDCC for $30 and now is only available from online sellers. Lightning McQueen appeared with this paint job during the beginning of Cars 3. There will be a normal (nonmetallic) RustEze Lightning McQueen released in the near future as a single.
