Matterhorn Gotthard Railway (MGB) between Zermatt Visp and Brig

The Mattherhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGB) operates the narrow gauge (1m track) and RackRail Line from the Rhone Valley (Brig/Visp) to the world famous village of Zermatt, next to the Matterhorn. Five cog rail sections are used by the train to climb from 650 meters over sea level (Visp) to 1605m (Zermatt)

The clips were captured in june 2022 in Zermatt, Täsch, Randa, Herbriggen, St. Niklaus, Visp and Brig.

You still can see a lot of different trains with locomotive types HGe 4/4 (Regional trains, Cargo trains and Glacier Express from St. Moritz and Chur (Rhaetian Railway)), Deh 4/4 I and II and modern Stadler Railcars. The classic trains will mainly dissapear when more modern Stadler Railcars are delivered after autumn 2022.
