Max Reger… are you a fan or not?
In celebration of his birthday I found a beautiful piece of his for violin and piano called, Romanze.
Personally I have never heard or played this piece before. I only knew of Reger’s unaccompanied works for violin solo.
Reger was a German composer admired by Schoenberg.
He obviously had a sense of humor as he told a critic that he was in the smallest room of his house with the critic’s review in front of him but soon it will be behind him.
