This chase took place near the small town of Adams in the Oklahoma panhandle and the storm was to my west. Intense inflow into this monster severe thunderstorm created beautiful patterns in the wheat fields and dust on the bare fields. As darkness approached new storms began developing all around me closing off my escape route and after dark I had a difficult time making my way eastward toward Woodward, passing through several bands of heavy rain and lightning before getting breaking free of them around Seiling, Oklahoma on my way home to Oklahoma City. The radio in the background is a commercial AM station in Guymon, Oklahoma. The main storm in this video produced a tornado in Liberal, Kansas a few minutes later.
