So I obviously recorded this a while back, in fact at the same time as I did for my post about my weights last month and while it took some time to edit… the real as to why it's taken me so long to post this is I'm a little embarrassed of how difficult reading is for me. It is something that I have struggled with my whole life.
I have vivid memories of hoping and praying that no one would pick me to read next while playing "Popcorn" in class. (For those of you who don't know popcorn is a tactic teachers often employ when asking the class to read aloud. You read for a sentence or a paragraph and then yell out "Popcorn" and another students name and then it is their turn to read aloud). It was always so unpredictable and I never could prepare for my turn unlike when you just simply go down the row of students and I could read over my part as many times as possible before it got to me and it would be a little less terrifying.
Flash forward to today and as you can see I still struggle and audiobooks are pretty much my best friend lol. But I'm sharing this not for sympathy but to share my journey with you all so this is me at the start with no Brainwear and the next videos to come that are like it will be with Brainwear. Just like my videos with me walking and my mobility issues my hope is that it will help with some of my dyslexia and cognition issues.
And if this is your first time joining me Hi! My name is Amanda & I have something called Wilson's Disease and this is one of my first times sharing that I also deal with mild case of dyslexia…well at least mild enough that no one caught it until like the end of high school/college, I'm a child of the 90's what can I say lol Also if you want to know about Brainwear you can find out about it at the @MindEyeInstitute or more about wilson's disease @wearewilsons there you go :)
