This morning, the House Oversight and Accountability Committee is holding a hearing in a disturbing attempt to weaponize equity and inclusion, and allow discrimination based on race, gender, and sexual orientation. The current attacks on DEIA, bans on books, and laws restricting genderaffirming care or bathroom usage are, at their core, nothing new. They are simply the latest incarnations of an insidious resistance that the civil and human rights movement has faced all along.
