Oil and Oil Filter change on a Mazda Bongo (same as the Friendee and Ford Freda). Recommended to be done every 6000 miles or 12 months for diesel whichever comes first. Petrol engines is 10,000 miles or 12 months. This is a 2.5 litre diesel but process is the same in the 2.0 and V6 Petrol, just where your dipstick and Oil filler cap will be in different places but easily identified. I'm not a mechanic so if I can do it, you should be able to too.

EDIT TO ADD: It's been rightly pointed out that Ive said 6 litres but with a filter change too you should add 6.5 litres, ensure you check you levels afterwards a few times when in use to be sure you've neither overfilled or underfilled.

First video so Im sorry for the rookie mistakes ie the different angles but there's more than enough information here to help you do the same oil filter and oil change. Apologies, I'll hopefully improve!

I have no affiliation but for a great wealth of knowledge on Bongos / Fredas is https://igmaynard.co.uk/ otherwise known as Bongo Fury, where theres forums, sales, shop, parts etc etc etc! and members get a discount in the shop!

Facebook Group for Bongo / Fredas at:

TORQUE setting for oil sump plug is 3040Nm, I did 25 foot pounds which converts to 35Nm.

Oil used: 5w/30 semi synthetic. Usual recommendation tends to be 10w/30 or 10w/40 though, do your research, be happy with your choice.
Oil filter: Bosch 501690017 seems to be the part number on my invoice but shop about, I've found the same filter from £8 to £18 depending on shop and if there's a discount sale on!
Copper sump plug washer: 20x14x1.5mm.

Again, I'm not a mechanic, ensure you are happy with your own ability and take proper precautions and use the great forums and facebook groups to ask advice before undertaking any work.
