Haven't done one of these types of videos in sometime it was cool to be able to do this again so here we are at Braintree station catching footage of a few buses the MBTA has shut the red line down from JFK/UMass to Braintree from September 6th29th because of track repairs so the MBTA is using shuttle buses between Ashmont and Braintree station. Normally during shutdowns like this it's often coach buses and transit style buses from out of state but for this shutdown it's a combination of MBTA buses and Yankee buses working together to shuttle the passengers the yankee dispatchers and the mbta inspectors and the transit ambassadors everyone working together to provide directions to the public. In this video you see the shuttles at Braintree station and we board one of the bus MBTA bus shuttles bus 2022 and we take the full shuttle variant ride from Braintree to Ashmont station. The bus driver was definitely flying he was a beast
The first bus is a 2020 New Flyer XDE40 bus 2080 from the Charlestown bus garage helping out this bus seats 36 people

The second bus you see is a 2024 Mercedes Benz tourrider premium bus 324 from Yankee bus lines helping out this is a 50 seater bus

Third bus is a 2021 New Flyer XDE40 bus 3128 from the Charlestown bus garage helping out this is a 36 seater

The fourth bus seen here in the front of the line is a 2020 New Flyer XDE40 bus 2022 also from the Charlestown bus garage seats 36 passengers
