McMurray’s Test (for Meniscus Tears)

Follow
Sports Med Review

McMurray’s test is used to evaluate for meniscus tears. Passively flex the knee to at least 90 degrees and then place your fingers on the medial and lateral joint line. Laterally rotate the tibia and extend the knee, stressing the medial meniscus. Then medially rotate the tibia and extend the knee, stressing the lateral meniscus. A positive test is pain, clicking or snapping.
