The V2500 engines of the MD90 vs the JT8D engines of the MD80. Turn up your volume and have a listen! Who wins?

Both aircraft seen departing runway 17 of the Minneapolis Int'l Airport (MSP) in the same conditions. McDonnellDouglas MD90 of Delta Airlines and MD88 of American Airlines. The MD90 actually seemed to put up some nice sounds, as did the MD88, but of course the MD88 sounds hung around afterwards for a lot longer!

Sound quality is not exact, not a professional grade microphone, just the one in a Sony DSCH70 digital camera. Didn't do the JT8D sounds much justice as you can actually "feel" the noise inperson, but anyways, enjoy and thanks for watching!
