Here's a playlist of all the Medal of Honor (2010) showcase videos I managed to record of the Fire Support, Combat Mission and other aspects of the game before it was shut down.    • Medal of Honor

Medal of Honor (2010) a game that is truly underrated. This shooter did what no others dared to do and sadly no one would never dare to do again. Where other shooters turned war into a circus Medal of Honor always stood for authenticity, to entertain, educate and show the realities of war. Medal of Honor (2010) rebooted the historically World War 2 series with a modern warfare setting based off real life events set in the grounded and gritty contemporary War in Afghanistan. The game was developed by two studios on different engines while unusual they offered solid experiences in their own right. Danger Close Studios was responsible for developing the moving and authentic singleplayer campaign on Unreal Engine 3 whilst it's multiplayer built on Frostbite 1.5 would be developed by the creators of the renowned Battlefield series DICE who created an adrenaline filled experience combining the best of both worlds of Call of Duty's tight close quarters gunplay, scorestreaks with Battlefield's vehicles, destructibility and scale. In particular the gamemode called Combat Mission was superior to Rush found in Battlefield. Rather than destroying meaningless MCOMs the maps we’re specifically designed around the gamemode with physical objectives like roadblocks and antiaircraft batteries that affected gameplay and gave a sense of story to the map. The Cruise Missile in this game would become the greatest scorestreak/fire support in the history of gaming. Everything about Medal of Honor was fantastic from the satisfying gunplay, sound design, soundtrack, level design, art direction, graphics, immersion and story. Released a few years too late to the modern warfare trend and perhaps a few years too early for a game based on a concurrent war and we would eventually see in part due to EA and it's bigger brother Battlefield, that this game and the Medal of Honor series would unfortunately be cast under the radar.

As of February 16th 2023, Electronic Arts is to shut down the online services for Medal of Honor: Airborne (2007), Medal of Honor (2010) and Medal of Honor: Warfighter (2012) games meaning the multiplayer of these games will never be playable ever again. It is a sad day for us all as one of the most influential and legendary series of all time that has shaped the first person shooter genre is coming to its end. Game preservation is important and this raises the ethical/legal question surrounding games as a service & always online DRM that if the developers they can no longer host their online services shouldn't they have the duty to release the server hosting tools to the community so that players can still play the game they paid for?
