Barbara began noticing digestive issues well before her colon cancer diagnosis. She describes her first symptoms as "feeling like food was just sitting in her gut" and had trouble processing food. She also felt extremely fatigued. But her symptoms were dismissed for two years until she was finally able to get a colonoscopy. She was then diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer.
In this cancer vlog, she shares how she underwent surgery to remove her colon (colectomy), underwent chemotherapy and the importance of listening to your body and being your own advocate if you feel something is wrong!
