Today, we're going to discuss strategies to craft outstanding medical school secondary essays.

One of the most stressful parts of the med school application process is writing secondary essays. It takes so much work to get out your AMCAS primary and push through the Personal Statement, only to be flooded with secondaries.

We’ll discuss strategies to write persuasive medical school secondary essays so you can impress admissions officers and get accepted to your dream school.

Most of the schools you apply to will send you secondaries, so you might have to write as many as 20 or 30 secondaries. I recommend applying to 2025 schools in your first round in June or so, max, so you can handle all these essays. You should then plan to devote much of July and August to fielding and completing secondaries.

It’s also super important to stay on top of these secondaries because you want to return them to the school within about 2 weeks of receiving them.

With all that in mind, med school applicants often want to know: How can I possibly manage all these secondaries?

I’m going to talk today about a few strategies for tackling med school secondaries.
