Meet Deputy C. Mathes in our Traffic Enforcement Unit. In 2020, we distributed one Chevy Camaro to our traffic enforcement deputies in each of our 5 districts so every area would have designated personnel to address traffic complaints and issues. The purpose of the ghost Camaros is to support our multipronged efforts to get dangerous drivers off our streets so that we might ultimately shed our region’s dubious distinction for having the nation’s deadliest roads.
