Michael Ung, ‘23, chose to pursue a law degree at McGeorge School of Law because of the school's location in Sacramento, its Trial Advocacy Program, and the alumni network. Ung's hometown is Reno, Nevada. Ung says that the friends he has made at McGeorge have been very impactful and taught him a lot of life lessons.

As a student, Ung was involved with the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA), Gaming Law Association, and Student Bar Association. After law school, Ung did a oneyear judicial clerkship in Carson City, Nevada.

In this video, Ung discusses how law school can be tough so it can be hard for law students to find time to relax. He recommends prospective students continue to participate in hobbies they enjoyed before law school to take care of their mental health.
