What is RayRay? High concept walkaround mascot? Lowbrow performance art? Maybe both and probably neither. RayRay is an expression of the awkward feeling, odd and outcast soul, that dwells in everyone. RayRay touches emotions in young and old, male and female, everybody RayRay meets, feel something profound. Many find RayRay cute and innocent, some are a little disturbed by his inscrutable nature, but no doubt about it, everyone has a reaction.
The humor of RayRay's performances comes from this inner struggle. His desperate need to perform and entertain while at the same time fearing the attention he receives. He is embarrassed by attention, but craves it at the same time. Each one of RayRay's performances begins with the best intentions, but due to his inner struggle, something almost always goes a little wrong.
The persona seen on stage represents everyone's inner struggle with the need to be appreciated and the fear to be seen as the flawed, vulnerable beings we all are.
RayRay has been seen and loved by thousands at almost every major venue in Los Angeles, multiple appearances in Las Vegas, as well the prestigious Sundance Film Festival in Boulder Colorado and many, many others.
RayRay has even appeared with world renowned Cirque du Soleil at their gala openings for "Verikai" and "Zoomanity".
