Dr. Jacob N. Blatt, a cardiac electrophysiologist, is an Atlanta native. He graduated with honors from Duke University and earned a bachelor's degree in Biological Anthropology & Anatomy. After receiving his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, he was appointed a clinical fellow at Harvard Medical School while completing his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. He returned home to Atlanta and completed fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Cardiac Electrophysiology at Emory University School of Medicine.

Dr. Blatt is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, and is board eligible in Cardiac Electrophysiology. He is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society, American Heart Association and the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. He joined Wellstar Cardiovascular Medicine in August of 2010, and is fully trained in all aspects of invasive cardiac electrophysiology including pacemakers, defibrillators, resynchronization therapy, complex arrhythmia management and ablation, transseptal catheterization, and transvenous lead extraction. He has a special interest in catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation. He is currently on staff at Wellstar Cobb and Kennestone hospitals.

Dr. Blatt is married and the father of two children. When not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family and has always been an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
