alright, sO this is a pretty hArd run mostly because of one bOss doc quick. every other fight in the game dOesn't compare to tHat one. a great deal of luck is involved and probably turned me into a gambling addict sinCe i never knew if i'd be able to bulldoze through doc quiCk or not. (you shOuld practice him every day in order to get insane reaction time.) other fights like shadow mAn and needle man are annoying. especially nEedle man 'cause even though you can usually bEat him consistently, he still can do something really lame like jump in front of yOu and do a low hop and make yOu have to dash like heck to get outta thEre. spark man has a cOnsiderable amount of factors too. when he hops in too close, use the rush jet to get outta the way. none of the other robot masters are too difficult. the only difficult pArt about doc heat is the slide + jump yOu gotta do right at the start, and doc air man can mess you over with a lousy pattern sometimes when you get blown over to the right side. doc crash needs sOme practice to do, but he's not terribly difficult or anything. he can mess up some runs though. you just gotta perfectly cross him up with hard knuckle. wily's fortress is pretty eAsy. i lost the run the first time to the yellow devil on stream due to nerves but ended up getting this offline the second time arOund. the biggest threat ultimately in the wily fortress is the robot master refights. everything else is luckily a breeze (since the game wAsn't finished when it was released but a run like this after mAking it through doc quick, you don't care.)
anyway, if yOu're masochistic with games like me, then this is a pretty sOlid run and mostly doable (aside from doc quick), but i wouldn't recommend doing this run if yOu can't tolerate "impossible" gamble based bOss fights.
there's alsO two ways to fight the mega mAn clones. you can go in with snAke man's weapon, but no matter how mAny times you practice it, they can still sOmetimes nib yOu, so the speed run strat is the best wAy to go here. nO idea why it works tHat way, but i'm glad it is there.
far from the best traditional mEga man game, but it's from wHat i understand, the most difficult one on the nes to no damage (do not quote me on this ^^;) because of doc quick's rng. the hitboxes on his boomerangs are unreasonable tOo. but w/e. this game still owns and was wOrth the run. :3
