Melodic Variation is adding a pattern to each step of a scale. Practicing this will help your fingers form a map of the territory. It also prepares you for improvisation: adding variation, fills and solos.
But mainly it’s fun. Once you get the basic idea of melodic variation, you may find yourself spending entire practice sessions playing with it. You’ll find sheet music, playalong tracks and lesson notes in the FiddleHed course.
“Wait, what is FiddleHed?” FiddleHed is the fun way to learn fiddling online. I made a progressive fiddle course to help you on each step of your fiddle journey. Plus, there's a supportive community that meets on zoom for office hours, group lessons and small student groups
