Honestly, this might be the best electric scooter to launch this year. For those familiar with the Mercane Widewheel 2019, it was far from perfect. The brake calliper issue, loose handle bar, and poorly fitted suspension covers, made it increasingly hard to justify its addicting speed and torque. This all changed with the 2020.

From the second you see it, you know it’s a different type of scooter. With a whole new frame that feels strong, sturdy, and has no looseness, the Mercane Widewheel 2020 sets a new benchmark for what it means to feel stable on an electric scooter.

Featuring a brand new LCD display, you can finally forget about the complicated controls and get an idea of riding stats at a glance. Stats such as speed, trip distance, and battery charge are finally easily accessible in the Mercane Widewheel 2020. This electric scooter finally caught up with its competitors.

The dual brakes reduce the braking distance by more than half and pass all of our quality checks with flying colours. No more brake calliper issues.

Lastly, the upgraded battery feels more powerful than before. Even though it’s the same voltage coupled with supposedly the exact same motors as in the 2019 model, when compared side by side, the 2020 Mercane Widewheel zips past the 2019 model. We will discuss this more in the full review video, but the key takeaway here is that the 2020 model is more powerful and has a higher top speed compared to the 2019 Mercane Widewheel.

Overall, we’re super impressed with the improvements the Mercane team made. After years of hype around the Mercane Widewheel series focused on its' unique design and powerful features, it finally feels like this electric scooter lives up to it. At last we have an electric scooter with tons of torque and power, but one that you don't have to compromise build quality or safety for.
