This beautiful model premiered on May 5, 1965 in Italy. It was made by the Politoys company, which at that time had many very advanced cast models to its credit. In the video, you can turn on subtitles in your language with a commentary on the action. The classic Mercedes had everything openable, it was very carefully refined when it comes to details. My model lacked the front bumper and headlight trim, there were only frames. I managed to paint the model with the original Mercedes paint in the color in which the first version of this model was created. I was equipped with different bumpers, one of which exactly matched this model. I copied it, attaching the appropriate mount, and cast it from polyurethane resin. The weak element of this model were the wheels, mainly plastic rims. The plastic developed during play and the wheels did not work evenly. I drilled the holes for the axles and put on brass bushings to center the whole model. Of course, I made a copy of the original box in which this car was packed.
