►The MercedesBenz M274 engine is a departure from the straightsix or v8 engines that Mercedes has come to be known for. As with most companies chasing higher output and higher fuel efficiency, Mercedes has joined the likes of VW/Audi in creating a twoliter fourcylinder turbocharged, directinjected engine.

The Mercedes M274 can be found in models across Mercedes' entire lineup, from the SLK to the Eclass, Cclass, GLC, and even models with transverselymounted engines. Some of the most popular models you will find this engine in today are:
