This video kicks off a new series on the book Maurice MerleauPonty was working on when he died, The Visible and the Invisible. After some opening remarks about the book and MP’s project in VI, I look at what he has to say about the world as it is revealed to us by perception; specifically, why we ought to have faith in perception despite the claims of scepticism and certain apparent contradictions that emerge in our thoughts about the world.
