Metal engraving three ways. In this video I demonstrate how to use a 50W CO2 glass tube laser to engrave both aluminium and stainless steel in the home shop. Normally this is regarded as difficult or impossible with a low powered laser but it can be done with the correct technique. A completely different technique is to drag engrave anodised aluminium with a simple sprung loaded carbide tipped tool on a cheapish CNC milling machine or router.
