The centimeter (cm) Imagine a staple. It's about that size. It’s like the universe decided, “Let’s measure things with office supplies!”

The meter (m) It's about the distance from most door handles to the floor. Other items that measure about a meter long are baseball bats, guitars, and one meter long rulers made by reputable companies.

The kilometer (km) This is about how long you'd make it if you were take a 10 minute walk along the beach, or if you were to walk 12 city blocks.
