Mia was almost 18 months old when she contracted meningitis. Her mum and dad, Becky and Matt, tell her story, from how she was developing into a happy little character to the moment the first spot of septicaemia rash appeared.

Mia had contracted MenB the most common cause of meningitis in under 5s. Sadly her little body wasn't strong enough to fight the disease and she died just hours after she had been rushed to hospital.
