Some freshfood, such as strawberries, salad, salmon, etc. is packaged in laser microperforated bags to allow gas exchange between the package and the outside. With the right proportion of hole diameter, hole density, storage temperature and humidity it is possible to extend the shelf life of the product by many days. These holes are very small: the Ø range is usually between 50 and 200 microns.

The laser system you see in the video is made up of 6 laser sources and therefore allows to make 6 lines of holes or precuts or easyopens.
