Smooth muscle is the muscle of organs and blood vessels. It is found throughout the body, is hugely important and yet we are barely aware of it. We can have a look at it under the microscopic and compare it to what we have seen over the last two weeks when we looked at skeletal muscle and cardiac muscle.
