Follow along on a backpacking trip through the Gila Wilderness Area in the Gila National Forest in New Mexico. An overnight trip up the Middle Fork of the Gila River, then looping back through Little Bear Canyon. This trip is probably best done as a 2 nighter. That would give you a day hike up canyon to the Jordan Hot Springs on day 2. Beware though, this can be a crowded destination on a summer weekend! The best strategy is to try and hit it on a spring or fall weekday.

It could also be done as a long day hike (about 11 miles)
