Midnite is an irie roots reggae band from St. Croix (U.S. Virgin Islands) that originated in 1989. The band was started by the Benjamin brothers Vaughn & Ron, and their lyrics are characterized as the ‘chant and call’ style which gives their music a deep Rastafarian sound & spiritual vibe. Featuring famous Jamaican producer Andrew Bassie Campbell, and other legendary musicians such as Earl Chinna Smith, Leroy ‘Horsemouth’ Wallace, Lloyd Obeah Denton, Sticky Thompson etc. Unfortunately lead singer Vaughn Benjamin (RIP) passed away on November 4, 2019 in Port St. Lucie, Florida at the age of 50. Midnite’s music is cherished & revered internationally, and will live on forever in the world of reggae music.
