TURN UP THE VOLUME
I was fortunate to record this lyrebird belting out a repertoire of bird sounds on my recent walk along Forest Path in the Royal National Park, Sydney
The lyrebird is one of Australia's bestknown birds and is a great mimic, capable of imitating almost any sound.
I can recognise the sounds of a Black cockatoo, Whip bird, Currawong, Wattle Bird, Sulphur Crested cockatoo, Kookaburra, Rufous Whistler, Blackfaced Monarch, Lorikeet and many more still to identify
How many mimicking sounds can you recognise?
