MIXING paint for CUSTOM colours! Fusion Mineral Paint || My top four mixing recipes

Follow
Transcend Furniture Gallery

I get asked allll the time about my custom mixed colours, and what the make up is. I can't give away all my secrets (lol) but I AM going to show you four of my favourite "recipes" there are some links below for the products used (unfortunately I couldn't find links for a few, but you can always just do a search for a Fusion retailer near you).

Mixing colours is not quite as easy as it would seem one trio of colours could make the most amazing new colour, and another trio could make mud, haha. My advice would be to scale it down when trying new blends; don't mix an entire pint if you aren't sure what the result would be. Use drops or tablespoons of each colour first, and when you get a recipe that works, scale back up. :)

Happy mixing!

For the medium grey with hint of green:

For the nice medium grey with a hint of blue:
Ash2 parts
Upper Canada2 parts
Renfrew Blue3 parts
Putty2 parts
Please note this recipe would be slightly lighter than the original mixed colour (as explained in the video). To get the EXACT colour shown on the dresser, you would need to mix 3 parts Ash, 2 parts Upper Canada, 3 parts Renfrew Blue, and 2 parts Putty, but you'd need to adjust your measurement lines on your jar to give you ten equal parts.
