My favourite extracts from the teaching found in the water scroll, from the book of five rings by Miyamoto Musashi, (1584 – 1645) history's most famous Japanese Ronin and sword master.

ps: I'm aware Musashi ment a katana when he talked about long sword, but I only have a nodachi at the moment, these concepts still apply ;)
