On our last day on Key West yesterday, Darlene and I took a tour of the Truman Little White House. What a jewel of a home! It also gave me chills to see the small desk where President Truman worked on order to call up Naval Reserves to fight in the Korean Conflict. One of those reservists was my father, who received his orders from Truman three days after I was born on August 30, 1950.
