Everyday I post new short lessons to help you learn English.

In this video, we're diving into the world of 'can', 'could', 'may', 'might', 'will', 'would', 'shall', 'should', 'must'. These little helpers are super important in English because they help us express things like possibility, ability, permission, and more! Whether you're asking for something ('Can I have a cookie?'), talking about future plans ('We will go to the park tomorrow'), or giving advice ('You should try this game!'), modal verbs are your goto friends. We'll show you lots of examples and give you some easy tips to remember them.

'Will' and 'would' are used for expressing future intentions or hypothetical situations. For instance, 'I will travel to France next year' shows a definite plan, whereas 'I would travel if I had more time' presents a conditional situation, dependent on having more time.

'Shall' and 'should' provide a slightly more formal or traditional tone, with 'shall' often used in questions to offer or suggest ('Shall we dance?'), and 'should' to give advice or recommendations ('You should see a doctor').

'Must' indicates necessity or obligation ('I must finish this assignment'), while 'ought to' is similar but slightly less forceful, often used to give advice ('You ought to take it easy').

Throughout this lecture, we'll examine numerous examples and contexts in which these modal verbs are used, enhancing your understanding of their applications and nuances. By the end of our session, you'll have a solid grasp of how to effectively utilize modal verbs to enrich your English communication skills."
