Mrs Olapeju Arike Oyedokun was born on the 30th November 1961 in Iresi, Osun State tó the Family of Pápá and Mama John Folorunso and Esther Lawuyi who are both late and retired as school administrators in Nigeria.

Mrs Olapeju Arike Oyedokun is the last child of the family of (5) in which they all retired as school principal except for the first child who is a university professor (meaning they all took after their parent) to God be the glory.

Mrs Olapeju Arike Oyedokun started her primary education in Baptist day school OkeOdo, Iwo, Osun State and later proceeded to Baptist High school, Ejigbo Osun State for her secondary education between 1973 1978.

In 1979, Mrs Olapeju Arike Oyedokun was admitted into University of IleIfe, now Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), IleIfe. to study Yoruba education where she bagged a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education (Yoruba) in 1983. She did her mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) de at Administrative and Technical staff Establishment (ATSE) of the University of Ife

Mrs Olapeju Arike Oyedokun started her Teaching career with the old Oyo State as Master Grade II on grade level 08 and was posted to Oluorogbo High school, IleIfe, now Osun State as a subject teacher. In her quest to further her education, she proceeded to University of IleIfe, now Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) for her Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration and finished in 1985. She was thereafter promoted to the post of Grade level 09 master Grade I in January 1987 and was elevated to senior master Grade 10 in January 1990.

Mrs Olapeju Arike Oyedokun served in the Old Oyi and Osun State Civil service until 1st Nov 1991 when she transferred her service to Lagos state Teaching service commission and was posted to Itolo Girls Secondary school, Eric Moore Surulere and was appointed year Tutor, the post she held until October 1992 before she was redeployed to Lagos state Model College, Kankon, Badagry where she worked as senior Tutor till December 1994. In 1994, Mrs Olapeju Arike Oyedokun was promoted to the post of Principal Grade III on salary Grade level 12.

In December 1994, Mrs Olapeju Arike Oyedokun was appointed as a Vice Principal and was posteb to Lagos Progressive Secondary school, surulere as the pioneer Vice principal to combine both Administration and Academics where she served until July 1999. In between the period, she was promoted twice; (1) To the post of Principal Grade II on salary Grade 13 and (2) Cheif Education officer on salary Grade level 14 with effect from 1st July 1996 and 1st January 1999 respectively. After which she was redeployed to Wasimi Community High School, Maryland, Ikeja as Vice Principal Academics.

In October 1999, she was redeployed to Lagos state Teaching Service commission, Alimosho zone as the Head of Department, Training and Staff Welfare where she served till December 2002. During this period, the because of her achievement and dedication to work, she was promoted to the post of an Assistant Director of Education on salary Grade level 15 with effect from 1st January 2002. Due to her commitment to duty and accumulated experience, Mrs Olapeju Arike Oyedokun was appointed as a principal in December 2002 and was posted as a pioneer Principal, Tomia Community junior Secondary school, Alagbado in January 2003. In January 2006,she was elevated to the post of Deputy Director of Education on salary Grade level 16 and remains as the serving principal of the school until 2nd July 2009, before she was redeployed on the 3rd of July 2009 to Dairy Farm Senior Secondary School, Agege.
