Bei erstaunlich kühlem Wetter ging es neulich wieder nach Unterfranken zu den Modelltagen in Stammheim am Main. Normalerweise fand diese Ausstellung stets Anfang Juli statt, diesmal war der Termin auf Mitte Juni angesetzt worden, was sich auf jeden Fall sehr positiv ausgewirkt hat. Die Hallen des Museums für Militär und Zeitgeschichte, auf dessen Gelände die Modelltage abgehalten wurden, heizen sich während der sonst üblichen sommerlichen Hitzewellen im Juli stets sehr unangenehm auf...
So konnte man bei sehr angenehmen Temperaturen voll und ganz die Ausstellung genießen! Es gab wieder viel zu sehen und zu kaufen, sodass wohl jeder Besucher und Aussteller auf seine Kosten gekommen ist.
Mir gefällt dort besonders, dass dort nicht jedes Jahr eins zu eins die gleichen Aussteller vor Ort sind, sondern man stets viele neue Gesichter und Modelle zu sehen bekommt ideal zum knüpfen von Kontakten und einfach Abwechslungsreich! Außerdem gibt es auf dem Außengelände noch einige Originalfahrzeuge zu bestaunen und auch die RCModellbauer haben viel Interessantes zu zeigen.
Ich war für einen Tag als Besucher vor Ort und hatte enorm viel Spaß an den vielen tollen Gesprächen mit meinen ModellbauKollegen. Das tut immer gut und gehört für mich genauso zum Hobby wie der handwerkliche Part.
Natürlich habe ich wieder viele Photos für euch gemacht, was bei den teilweise schwierigen Lichtverhältnissen nicht ganz einfach war. Ich hoffe ihr könnt den kleinen Messebericht trotzdem genießen!

During surprisingly cool weather conditions i made a trip to Lower Franconia again to visit the Model Days in Stammheim am Main. This show used to take usually place in early July, but this time it was scheduled for mid June, which was a very good decission in my opinion. The halls of the Museum for Military and Contemporary history, which opened its plot and buildings to host this show, tend to get really warm during the usual heatwaves in July...
This time one could fully enjoy this show thanks to the pleasant temperatures! There was a lot to see and to buy there, so i am sure every visitor and exhibitor was happy.
What i like in particular about this show is the fact that not the very same exhibitors show up there every year. There is plenty of space for newcomers and their models that is ideal to meet new people and it simply ensures a good amount of variety! Apart from that there were plenty of real vehicles and RC models to behold in the outdoor area.
I was there for one day as a visitor and enjoyed all the chats with my fellow scale modellers a lot. This is always pleasant and to me as important as the craft part of this hobby.
Of course i took many photos for you there, but that was not easy due to the tricky light conditions there. I hope you enjoy my small show report anyway!
