Here's some footage from my latest track layout. The LEGO HeavyHaul Train (60098) has been modified and has an extra motor so gives it more power to pull more cargo.

The lights are part number 8870 and the rechargeable battery is part number 8878, these can be bought from the LEGO shop online. The power adapter\battery charger is the LEGO Power Functions Transformer\Charger 10V DC Part 8887, make sure you are buying the correct transformer for your region.
