У американцев все самое большое: самые большие люди, самые большие машины и как само сабой разумеющееся самые большие мотоциклы.Речь пойдет об огромных американских
мотоциклахмонстрах, родившихся в штате Техас, под названием Boss hoss...Компания Boss Hoss Cycles, была основана в 1990 Монте Варном (Monte Warne), который является владельцем
и президентом Boss Hoss Cycles, Inc.Началось всё с создания мотоцикла, в раму которого удалось втиснуть огромным классический американский мотор Chevy V8, объёмом 5,7 литров!
Такие "движки" ставят на внедорожники Chevrolet Tahoe и купе Chevrolet Camaro. Такто этот "двухколесник", конечно, не в тех габаритах, но стоит столько же.
Соответствуют цене и прочие характеристики монстра. Снаряженная масса 600 кг, почти 50 из которых занимает топливо в двух баках.КПП автоматическая, что несколько снижает
динамику разгона. Недаром в технических характеристиках машины нет данных о времени преодоления рубежа в 100 км/ч. Но по ощущениям водителей, Boss Hoss выдает "сотню" не более
чем за 45 секунд. И это не предел, потому что есть варианты мотоциклов этой марки, двигатели которых снабжены турбонаддувом.А мощность достигает 1000 л.с.!
В 2005 году компания Boss Hoss выпустила модель BHC3 502, которая представляла собой круизёр с гигантским двигателем. Рабочий объём силового агрегата составлял 8,2 л.
4тактный Vобразный двигатель модели имел также 8 цилиндров. Модель была оснащена карбюратором Quadrajet и мощной выхлопной системой с двумя глушителями.
Максимальная мощность двигателя составляла 502 лошадиные силы. Передача крутящего момента на заднее колесо осуществлялось ремнём.
