Monument Valley KOA Journey, Campground Review and Things to Do

We are continuing our tour of the southwestern United States and here we share our visit to Monument Valley, Utah. We stayed at the Monument Valley KOA Journey. It's a perfect base camp for exploring the area.

What we love about KOA Journey:
1. Location! There are many sites to see in this area.
2. Jeep rentals available at the campground (also horse rides)
3. Our site was adequate in size and level.
4. We appreciate the trees around this campground.
5. Dog Park but heads up, it is sand so very hot during the day.
6. Nice camp store
7. Verizon works, although it is slow

What we didn't love about KOA Journey:
1. Price is high here (but so is the other campground nearby)
2. Hot ground for pups feet, not KOA's fault. It is just a hot location.

Overall, Monument Valley KOA Journey was a great stay and the perfect base camp for exploring this unique area.
