The supersonic bomber planes (nicknamed 'Bones') of the 9th Bomb Squadron from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, landed at RAF Fairford, a bomber airfield for the US Air Forces in Europe. They joined two other Lancers that arrived days earlier, bringing the total so far to four B1 Lancers deployed for Bomber Task Force 233 in the European theater.
