A leading Conservative campaign aide and two parliamentary candidates are now being investigated by the gambling watchdog over alleged betting on the general election date.
The latest probe involves Conservative director of campaigning Tony Lee who's taken a leave of absence and his wife Laura Saunders. Labour and the Lib Dems have called for her to be suspended. Even cabinet minister Michael Gove admitted the situation didn't "look great".
