In what should be an epic day, the final 4km of the Passo Furcia rise up at an average gradient of 10% and contain walls up to 14.2%, providing the perfect launchpad for an attack, or the ideal terrain on which to shell rivals out the back of the group. After a 10km descent, the final 13.3km to the line lay in the form of a falseflat that will prove difficult ground to bring back rivals who are off the front!
